“Remember 1941” at the 2011 New Deal Festival!
Celebrate the remarkable history of the New Deal at Arthurdale Heritage’s annual New Deal Festival Saturday July 9, 2011. This year the festival looks back on Arthurdale at the cusp of America’s involvement in World War II in 1941.

Reserve Your “Tea with Eleanor” Tickets Now
Arthurdale Heritage is offering you the unique opportunity to have tea with First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. Tea with Eleanor will be served at Noon, Friday, July 8th at the historic Arthurdale Inn, now known as Hospice Care Corporation. Tickets are $10.00 per person and you can reserve your tickets online at: http://www.newdealfestival.org

New Deal Festival Features Events and Activities for All Ages
Arthurdale Heritage’s New Deal Festival is giving people of all ages a chance to step back in time and Remember 1941. The festival begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 9th and features artisan demonstrations, historic reenactments, museum tours, craft market, antique car, truck, and tractor show, quilt show, supervised kids area with games and activities, and much more. This year, the festival looks back on Arthurdale at the cusp of America’s involvement in World War II in 1941.

Live Music Lineup Set for 2011 New Deal Festival
From bluegrass to jazz, from blues to Dixieland, an eclectic array of music is on tap at Arthurdale Heritage’s 2011 New Deal Festival. Performing on the main Center Hall stage are: The Dan Baker Trio, The Halftime String Band, Born Old, the Jenny Wilson Trio, and the Falling Run Bluegrass Band. The New Deal Festival opens at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 9th with performances beginning at 10 a.m.

 Learn the Art of Stained Glass, Pottery, Blacksmithing and More at the New Deal Festival
Step back in time at Arthurdale Heritage’s New Deal Festival. This year, the festival is Remembering 1941 and the unique history of Arthurdale at the cusp of America’s involvement in World War II. The festival begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 9th and gives visitors the opportunity to learn the art of stained glass making, blacksmithing, pottery making, seat weaving, and much more.

Residents Donate Historic House to Arthurdale Heritage, Inc.
Arthurdale residents Thelma Kees and her daughter Sharon, have generously donated an original Hodgson home and over three acres of land to Arthurdale Heritage, Inc. The house, homestead E-2, was the first house completed in Arthurdale.
